Lucy Goes Camping

Hubby and I found a new place to camp less than an hour from home so we decided to have another weekend away.

I took my Lucy Boston blocks with me.  Managed to get two stitched and another two prepped. Will get more prepped at home so I can grab them and go for next trip

Last night was Friday night and I decided to abondon The Great Sewing Room Clean Up so I could spend a bit of quality time bonding with my new girl.

It was like sewing 101 for beginners with scrap fabric and the instruction book not far away.

Im sure we will become inseperable very very soon, however today is back to the clean up.

Nothing is coming back into the room without a designated home and now the curtains are replaced with shade cloth screens the light in here is amazing

Trip Around the World

A few weeks ago I completely finished my hand stitched trip around the world quilt. I loved the process of the hand stitching and did quite a bit of it while away camping.
Cross hatch quilting certainly took awhile and with this one I certainly embraced the process of "make do" ... rows with different squares, batting joined together, pieced backing, and about three different threads for the quilting
The last square ready to be stitchedn
Found this great place for pucs of finished top when away .. the cows looking too

Crinkly quilty goodness after washing
